u is for...

uniform.

It has been said that the clothes make the man. Maybe. But maybe, God leads the heart of the man to choose the clothes he wears... a uniform... to serve with honor... simply to serve. Over the course of our almost seventeen years as husband and wife, Eric has worn many uniforms... and each has held a special place in our life together. The one he wears today is no more important than the last... and the one he wore way back when? It still holds a place of honor... in our memories and down to our very souls.

Happy A to Z Monday! Check out other posts with Jen at Unglazed!

The perfect U word. Funny, I never realized how many different uniforms Eric has had....I almost could not see him in the camo one. ;)
Great post my friend!

Hmmmmm. I just posted a comment, but it's not showing up. Did I mess up or is this going to end up as a double post? Well anyway, this is what I said....

"This is a lovely, beautiful posts. Yes, uniform is the perfect "U" word."

Really love this U!! Your hubby has been in service to the USA for a long time. Thank him for me! We love our armed forces personnel and civil servents. (My hubby is a VietNam vet & my son is Maricopa Sheriff's Dept.) What great courage these guys(& gals) have. Thanks for reminding me. x-c

Good one! Good tribute! Those uniforms always hit me during the Fourht of July parade in our town. Lots of respect for a lot of organizations that serve, protect, defend...
